Claiming an event a swimmer added
Swimmers can list an event before its organizer joins. If it's yours, claim it to manage it and recruit safety paddlers.
What to do
- Step 1: Tap My events. Look under Is your event already on Naduno?, or search for it.
- Step 2: Open the event and tap Claim this event.
- Step 3: Tap OK. It becomes your official event, and keeps the swimmers already linked to it.
The first 7 days
For 7 days after you claim an event, you can add shifts, distances and details and recruit paddlers, but you can't cancel, unpublish or mark it completed, or change its name, date, place or website. This protects swimmers if an event is claimed by mistake.
Skip the 7 days: if you're signed in with an email address at the event's own website when you claim it, you get full control straight away. For example, if the event's website is acrosslake.com, an address like you@acrosslake.com works. Gmail, Outlook and other free email addresses don't count.
Otherwise, if you need full control sooner, send us a message and we'll check it's your event.
