What Naduno is, and how to sign up and sign in.
- What is Naduno?Naduno helps open-water swimmers and swim events find paddlers to go with them.
- Signing up and signing inThere's no password. Type your email address and we email you a link that signs you in.
- Swimmer, paddler or event organizer?When you sign up, you choose one role for your account. Pick the one that fits what you'll do most.
- Finding swim eventsTap Events to see upcoming open-water swim events. Anyone can look, even without signing in.
- Opening a link someone sent youA swimmer or event organizer may send you a link to their swim or event. Open it to see the details and say you can help.
- Words we useWhat the words you'll see on Naduno mean.
For swimmers
Adding a swim and finding a paddler.
- Adding a swimTell us when and where you're swimming, and what help you'd like. Then we suggest paddlers who fit.
- Adding an event that isn't listedIf you're swimming in an organized event that isn't on Naduno yet, add it, then add your own swim to it.
- Finding a paddlerOpen your swim and tap Find paddlers to see paddlers who fit it, with the reasons why.
- Chatting with paddlers who offeredWhen paddlers offer to help, you can chat with each of them, then send a request to the one you choose.
- Inviting a paddler you knowSend a friend who paddles a personal link. They can sign up in a minute and offer to help with your swim.
- Sharing your swimMake a link to your swim to post on social media or send to anyone who paddles.
- Offering paymentYou can offer your paddler an amount if you like. You pay them directly. Naduno never handles money.
- Changing or cancelling your swimOpen your swim to change its details or cancel it. If a paddler is booked, they're asked to accept any change.
- Your swimmer profileYour profile tells paddlers about your open-water experience, so they feel ready to say yes.
For paddlers
Finding swims and safety shifts, and offering to help.
- Your paddler profileYour profile tells swimmers and event organizers where you paddle, what you paddle and your experience. Only a few things are needed.
- Finding swims and safety shiftsTap Opportunities to see swimmers near you who need a paddler, and events that need safety paddlers.
- Offering to help a swimmerTap Offer to help on a swim. A private chat opens with the swimmer. Nothing is booked yet.
- Signing up for a safety shiftOpen the event, pick a shift and tap Sign up for this shift. Your place is confirmed straight away.
- Nearby alertsNearby alerts email you when a new swim or safety shift is added near you. You choose how often, or turn them off.
- Getting paidMany paddlers volunteer. If a swimmer or event offers payment, you arrange it directly with them. Naduno never handles money.
For event organizers
Listing your event and finding safety paddlers.
- Listing your eventCreate your event as a draft, add its distances and safety shifts, then publish it so paddlers and swimmers can find it.
- Adding distances and safety shiftsDistances are the swims at your event. Safety shifts are when you need safety paddlers, and how many.
- Finding and inviting safety paddlersInvite suggested paddlers near your event, or send a link to paddlers you already know.
- Managing your eventYour event's Manage page shows who's confirmed for each shift, which swimmers are coming, and lets you change or cancel the event.
- Claiming an event a swimmer addedSwimmers can list an event before its organizer joins. If it's yours, claim it to manage it and recruit safety paddlers.
- Your organizer profileYour organizer profile shows your organization on your event pages, so paddlers know who's running the event.
Using your account
Messages, bookings, reviews and your privacy.
- Your dashboardYour dashboard is your home page. It shows what needs you now and what's coming up.
- Notifications and emailsNaduno tells you when something happens to your swims or bookings, on the bell at the top of the page and by email.
- Messages and chatYou can chat with the other person about a swim before anything is booked, and keep chatting once it is.
- Requests and bookingsA request is an ask that hasn't been agreed yet. It becomes a booking when the paddler says yes. Both are under Bookings.
- Changing or cancelling a bookingIf plans change, tell the other person on Naduno as soon as you can, so they're not left waiting.
- ReviewsAfter a swim, the swimmer and the paddler can each say how it went. Both reviews appear at the same time.
- Who can see your name and detailsOther people see your first name and the first letter of your last name. Your email and phone are only shared once a booking is confirmed.
- Blocking or reporting someoneIf someone makes you uncomfortable, you can block them, report them to the Naduno team, or both. You do this on their profile.
- Changing your name, phone or unitsTap Account to change your name, your mobile phone number, and whether distances show in kilometres or miles.
- Closing your accountTo close your account and remove your details, send us a message from the email address you sign in with.
