Opening a link someone sent you
A swimmer or event organizer may send you a link to their swim or event. Open it to see the details and say you can help.
What to do
- Step 1: Tap the link. You'll see the swim or event details.
- Step 2: Tap I can paddle for this swim (or Sign up to paddle for an event).
- Step 3: If you're new, type your email address. We email you a link to sign in. Then give your first name, your area and what you paddle.
- Step 4: You come straight back to the swim or event to offer to help, or to choose a shift.
Common questions
It says the link isn't active.
It may have run out or been turned off. Ask the person who sent it for a new one.
It says the invite has already been used.
Each swimmer's invite link is for one paddler. Ask them for your own link.
Does saying I can help book me in?
For a swimmer: no, it starts a chat, and nothing is booked until you accept their request. For an event shift: yes, signing up for a shift confirms your place.
