Adding distances and safety shifts

Distances are the swims at your event. Safety shifts are when you need safety paddlers, and how many.

Adding a distance

  1. Step 1: On your event's Manage page, find Distances and tap Add a distance.
  2. Step 2: Type the distance, and its start and cutoff times if you know them.
  3. Step 3: If every swimmer on this distance needs their own kayaker, tick Swimmers must bring their own support paddler.
  4. Step 4: Tap Add distance.

Adding a safety shift

  1. Step 1: Under Safety paddler shifts, tap Add a shift.
  2. Step 2: Give it a name, like “Course safety”, and say how many paddlers you need.
  3. Step 3: Set the meeting and finish times.
  4. Step 4: Say whether it's volunteer or paid, and which distances it covers.
  5. Step 5: Add any craft or equipment needs.
  6. Step 6: Tap Add shift.

Paddlers can sign themselves up for a shift, and their place is confirmed straight away. To choose who joins, untick Paddlers can sign up for this shift themselves. The shift is then by invitation only.

Your event only shows in paddlers' lists once it has at least one shift.

Common questions

Why can't I change a shift's time?

Paddlers are already confirmed for it. Release them first, or add a new shift.

If I offer payment, does Naduno pay the paddlers?

No. Naduno doesn't handle money. You pay paddlers directly.
